To ensure that all biomedical and health research involving human participants is conducted in accordance with established ethical principles, national regulatory frameworks, and scientific standards, with primary emphasis on participant rights, safety, and well-being.
The committee operates through a structured review process in compliance with ICMR National Ethical Guidelines, DHR (NECRBHR) requirements, and the New Drugs and Clinical Trials Rules, 2019, ensuring transparency, accountability, and timely decision-making.
To establish a robust and nationally recognized ethics review system that promotes responsible research, upholds ethical integrity, and contributes to the advancement of biomedical and interdisciplinary scientific knowledge.
The Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) at KASRC ensures ethical review and oversight of biomedical and health research involving human participants in accordance with ICMR guidelines and national regulatory frameworks.
